New Hope Church (Nuova Speranza) is a bilingual English-Italian congregation located in Sigonella, Sicily. We serve military families, international personnel, and the local community through vibrant worship, Spirit-filled preaching, and authentic community.
Whether you are stationed here for a season or have called Sicily home for years, you belong here. We are a community of believers who take the Word seriously, pursue the Holy Spirit expectantly, and love one another genuinely.
New Hope Christian Center is connected with Ministry to the Military (MTTM), who operates as a branch with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN).

What We Offer
Expository, Spirit-led preaching in English and Italian that connects the ancient Word to your present moment. Every Sunday is an encounter.
Vibrant bilingual worship that creates space for the presence of God. Come expecting, and come ready to encounter the living Jesus.
Age-appropriate ministry for children during the Sunday service, so that every member of your family can grow in faith at the same time.
Midweek community groups for deeper study, prayer, and connection. Life is better together, and Life Groups are where discipleship goes deep.
Led by First Lady Kate Hamilton, our women's ministry offers community, teaching, and equipping for women at every stage of life and faith.
We are a church that goes. From local Sicily outreach to global partnerships, New Hope is actively engaged in the Great Commission.
Leadership / Pastorale
Bishop David C. Hamilton is a Licensed Ordained Bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and has served as Lead Pastor of New Hope Church (Nuova Speranza) in Sigonella, Sicily since November 2021. He and his wife Kate lead this bilingual congregation under the covering of Ministry to the Military (MTTM).
Prior to pastoral ministry, David served as a USAF Armament Specialist (2008–2014). He has ministered across 26 countries, carrying a revivalist heart for the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. His preaching philosophy centers on the inseparability of craft and anointing — every sermon an encounter, every message a bridge between the ancient Word and the present moment.
Kate Hamilton serves as Co-Director and First Lady of New Hope, leading women's ministry and homeschooling their three children. She holds an active LCSW and carries a pioneering vision for Spirit-empowered pastoral care and counseling. Together, David and Kate are building a community where every person is seen, loved, and equipped.

New Hope Church holds to the Declaration of Faith of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN), affirming the full counsel of Scripture and the present-day work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired and only infallible written Word of God, the supreme and final authority for all faith and conduct.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — co-equal and co-eternal.
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is both fully God and fully man. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded by God for all men everywhere.
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Christ, and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe in sanctification subsequent to the new birth — a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of justification and proceeding throughout the life of the believer.
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, subsequent to a clean heart. We believe in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, as the initial physical evidence.
We believe in speaking with tongues, and that the gift of tongues is one of the gifts of the Spirit which the Holy Spirit distributes according to His sovereign will.
We believe in divine healing — that it is provided in the redemption of Christ and is available to every believer who will trust God to heal them.
We believe in the Lord's Supper and in water baptism by immersion as ordinances of the Church, commanded by Christ and observed in remembrance of His sacrifice and resurrection.
We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus — first to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air, and later to reign on earth a thousand years.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the unsaved.
We believe that tithing is God's plan for the support of His work, and that the tithe is holy unto the Lord. We also believe in cheerful, generous giving as an act of worship and partnership with the Kingdom.
We believe in the sanctity of the home, the importance of Christian fellowship, and the call of every believer to live a life that adorns the gospel of Jesus Christ in every sphere of life.
